Pain during menstruation has an impact on daily activities, especially learning activities in adolescents. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between dysmenorrhea and learning activities in adolescents at the Women’s Orphanage Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. This type of quantitative research and cross sectional research design is the method of this research. All adolescents in the orphanage are the population in this study. The sampling technique used total sampling and obtained as many as 32 adolescent. Data collection was taken using a pain degree questionnaire (Visual Analog Scale) and a learning activity questionnaire. The results of this study were as many as 24 adolescents (75%) had dysmenorrhea and 8 adolescents (25%) did not experience dysmenorrhea which included 17 adolescents (53.1%) whose learning activities were disrupted and 15 adolescents (46.9%) whose learning activities were not disturbed, while the results of data analysis using Spearman's rank correlation p <0.05 (0.000) and the closeness of the relationship is 0.660** (strong relationship). Objective: To assess the level of knowledge of mothers about acupressure in infants and toddlers Methods: Descriptive research with a population of 55 respondents and sampling of all mothers who have babies and toddlers. The data analysis used was univariate analysis. Results: Most of the respondents were aged between 20-35 years (49.1%) and most of the respondents' last education was high school (43.6%). Most of the respondents' occupations were self-employed (65.5%), most of the respondents had received information about acupressure on toddlers (72.7%). Therefore, it is necessary for the role of health workers to further activate information about acupressure in infants and toddlers and to be able to do acupressure independently.

Keywords: Acupressure, Babies, Healthy child.
2023-09-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://mail.journal.unipdu.ac.id/index.php/edunursing/article/view/4450 PENGARUH TEKNIK RELAKSASI PERNAFASAN TERHADAP PENURUNAN TINGKAT NYERI MENSTRUASI (DISMINOREA) PADA REMAJA PUTRI 2024-01-28T14:24:14+00:00 Ariu Dewi Yanti Ariu914@gmail.com
Dysmenorrhea is menstrual pain originating from the uterus. Of course, this situation greatly impacts young women who experience dysmenorrhea, which interferes with school activities, learning activities, and even completing assignments. There are several factors that can influence the occurrence of dysmenorrhea, namely the age of menarche which is <12 years, nutritional status, history of menstrual pain in the family and psychology. The aim of this study was to explain the effect of breathing relaxation techniques on reducing menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in young women. In this study, a sequential analytic design was used with a Quasi Experimental type with a pre and post test design approach with a control group. The population in this study were young women at the Youth Posyandu, Carangrejo Village, Kesamben District, with 70 respondents. The sample in this study were 58 respondents and by using non-probability sampling with purposive sampling. The independent variable is breathing relaxation techniques and the dependent variable is menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). The instrument in this study used pain scoring sheets, then data analysis used the t-test. The results of the t-test showed that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which is shown by the p value (0.000) meaning that there is an effect of breathing relaxation techniques on reducing menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). If breathing relaxation techniques are carried out regularly, it can reduce menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). Because, the movements performed in breathing relaxation techniques during menstruation are distraction and relaxation movements that can inhibit pain impulses due to distraction, so that young women get used to doing breathing relaxation techniques to reduce menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) so they don't depend on analgesic drugs every time they have menstruation.

Keywords: Dysmenorrhea, Breathing relaxation technique, Young women
2023-09-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 https://mail.journal.unipdu.ac.id/index.php/edunursing/article/view/4451 PERILAKU REMAJA PUTRI TENTANG PERSONAL HYGIENE SAAT MENSTRUASI 2024-01-28T14:31:02+00:00 Suci Anggraeni sucianggraeni@strada.ac.id Brita Arinda Putri brita.arinda15@gmail.com
The problem of vaginal discharge is often experienced by women, especially adolescents after menstruation, to avoid these problems, good personal hygiene behavior is needed. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of understanding and the role of parents in health education with adolescent girls' behavior in personal hygiene during menstruation. This research uses an analytical observational quantitative research design with a cross sectional approach design. The population in this study were 7th and 8th grade students at SMPN 3 Blitar City. The sample in this study amounted to 162 determined using the Stratified Random Sampling technique. The independent variable is the level of understanding and the role of parents in health education, while the dependent variable is the behavior of young women. Data were collected by questionnaire, bivariate analysis using ordinal regression test. From the results of the study, it is known that most students in understanding personal hygiene during menstruation are good, as many as 101 students (59%). The role of parents as educators is mostly in the good category, as many as 83 students (49%). Personal hygiene behavior during menstruation is mostly in the sufficient category, namely as many as 74 students (44%). The results showed that there was a relationship between understanding and personal hygiene during menstruation with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05) and there was a relationship between the role of parents and personal hygiene during menstruation with a p value of 0.002 (p <0.05). Personal hygiene understanding and the role of parents affect personal hygiene behavior during menstruation. This research aims to determine the effect of health education through Doratoon-based animated video media about DM diet patterns on the knowledge of diabetes mellitus patients. The research design uses a quasi experiment with a one group pre and post test design without control group. The sample used was 30 DM patients with a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is a questionnaire regarding knowledge of DM diet patterns. The data obtained were analyzed using Wilcoxon. The result obtained was a value of p = 0.001 (p<0.05) which shows that there is an influence of providing health education through Doratoon-based animated video media about DM diet patterns on the knowledge of diabetes mellitus patients. Elderly people with stroke will experience motor dysfunction and have physical limitations in performing self-care and meeting their daily needs. Therefore, the elderly will need a lot of help from caregivers or family in carrying out daily activities. The care provided to the elderly aims to help the elderly to be independent in carrying out daily activities. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family function and the fulfillment of post-stroke elderly activities in Jabon Village, Mojoanyar District, Mojokerto Regency. This research design uses cross-sectional. The number of research samples was 33 respondents. The results showed that of the 5 respondents with good family function, most had a mild level of dependence, namely 3 respondents (60%), and of the 5 respondents with poor family function, almost half had a moderate and severe level of dependence as many as 2 respondents (40%). The results of the analysis using Spearman Rho show that the p-value significance value is 0.004 (<0.05) and the correlation coefficient value is (0.475) which can be concluded that the relationship is positive (unidirectional) which means that the better the family function, the lighter the level of independence of the elderly.
