The incidence of diarrhea can be accompanied by symptoms of dehydration, fever, nausea and vomiting, anorexia, weakness, paleness, sunken eyes, dry mucous membranes, and decreased urine output (Harris, et al (2017) cited in Lanida and Farapti, 2018). This type of research is descriptive analytic using a case study approach. The subject of this study was the patient’s mother who had used a decoction of crushed seed leaves to reduce the frequency of diarrhea in children. The results of the cross tabulation of the majority of data obtained were 24 respondents experienced a decrease in the frequency of diarrhea. Based on the results of the Spearman Rank Test Correlation Analysis, the sig. (2tailed) or probability (p) value is 0.000 with a significance level of 0.05 so that the p-value is 0.000 < 0.05, which means that the decoction of crushed guava leaves is effective in reducing the frequency of diarrhea so that Ho is rejected. The results showed that the effectiveness of the decoction of crushed guava leaves can reduce the frequency of diarrhea to 3 times a day. The decoction of the seed leaves containing tannins, flavonoids, essential oils, and alkaloids can be a solution to reduce the frequency of diarrhea, namely as a chelating agent with a spasmolytic effect that constricts the intestines so that peristalsis is reduced and also the spasmolytic effect can shrink bacterial cell walls or cell membranes, thereby disrupting cell permeability.

Keywords: Diarrhea, Decoction of crushed guava leaves, Decrease in the frequency of diarrhea in children.
Siti Aizah, Norma Risnasari, Nevi Listyawati Copyright (c) 2022 Jurnal EDUNursing http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://mail.journal.unipdu.ac.id/index.php/edunursing/article/view/2944 Tue, 26 Jul 2022 00:00:00 +0000 PENGARUH PIJAT TUINA TERHADAP TINGKAT NAFSU MAKAN BALITA GIZI KURANG https://mail.journal.unipdu.ac.id/index.php/edunursing/article/view/2956
Malnutrition is the biggest nutritional problem found in Indonesia. The purpose of the study was to analyzed the relationship of supervision and motivation of nurses against infection prevention measures through the use of PPE and Hand Hygiene in the Covid 19 Isolation Room. Correlational analytical research design. Supervision and motivation as independent variables, actions as dependent variables. The population of all nurses of Covid-19 Isolation Room Hospital Prof. Dr. Soekandar Mojokerto as many as 32 people. The sample was taken with a total sampling technique of 32 respondents. The data was collected with questionnaire instruments and tested with coeeficient contingence tests and chi square tests. The result of the coefficient contingence test for variable supervise with APD is obtained the value of ? = 0.001. Supervision with hand hygiene obtained value ? = 0.000. While the results of the chi square motivation test with APD obtained the value of ? = 0.005 < ? = 0.05, and motivation with hand hygiene obtained the value of ? = 0.004 < ? = 0.05. The results of bivariate analysis show that H1 is accepted meaning there is a relationship between supervision and motivation with infection prevention measures through PPE and hand hygiene. The results of multivariate analysis showed the beta coefficient value for supervise is higher than the motivation of 0.304 so that the most dominant variable is the supervisory variable. The implementation of good and appropriate supervision will foster the spirit and performance of the right health workers in carrying out infection prevention.

Keywords: Action, Hand hygiene, Motivation, PPE, Supervision
Titik Irawati, Tri Ratnaningsih, Ana Zakiyah Copyright (c) 2022 Jurnal EDUNursing http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://mail.journal.unipdu.ac.id/index.php/edunursing/article/view/2943 Tue, 26 Jul 2022 00:00:00 +0000 GAMBARAN POLA KONSUMSI AIR PUTIH DAN STATUS HIDRASI PADA KARYAWAN EKSPEDISI PT LINTAS NUSANTARA PERDANA KEDIRI https://mail.journal.unipdu.ac.id/index.php/edunursing/article/view/2945
Expeditionary employees are jobs that require the consumption of water in sufficient quantities to avoid dehydration. This is because the work carried out by expedition employees is quite a strenuous activity in Indonesia's hot tropical climate. Dehydration in expedition employees can result in headaches, lethargy, and even fainting. The purpose of the study was to determine the hydration status of expedition employees at PT Lintas Nusantara Perdana Kediri related to water consumption patterns. The research design used cross sectional research and this research was a descriptive method. The population is all employees of PT Lintas Nusantara Perdana Kediri as many as 13 people. A sample of 10 respondents was taken by purposive sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire. The data is processed by data tabulation, coding, and scoring techniques. Based on the research, it was found that from 10 respondents it was found that 2 people (20%) consumed enough water, which was more than 2 liters, 5 people (50%) consumed moderate amounts of water, which was about 1,5-2 liters and 2 people (20%) consume less water, which is less than 1,5 liters for 9 hours of work. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the consumption of water by expedition employees of PT Lintas Nusantara Perdana Kediri is still considered insufficient. Based on the results of the study on 10 respondents, it was found that 7 people (70%) felt symptoms of frequent thirst, 5 people (50%) felt symptoms of weakness, 6 people (60%) felt symptoms of dry lips and 5 people (50%) felt symptoms of body aches. hot. Based on these results, it can be concluded that most of the expedition employees of PT Lintas Nusantara Perdana Kediri who work in the field have not been properly hydrated during working hours.

Keywords : Expedition employee, Hydration status, Water compsumtion
Elysabet Herawati, Muhammad Mudzakkir Copyright (c) 2022 Jurnal EDUNursing http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0 https://mail.journal.unipdu.ac.id/index.php/edunursing/article/view/2945 Tue, 26 Jul 2022 00:00:00 +0000
